This is a cabin filter with a layer of activated carbon which absorbs unpleasant odors as well as irritating particles. Carbon filters also absorb toxic and foul smelling gases such as ozone, nitrogen oxide, sulfur dioxide and hydrocarbons.

Installation

Obtain the radio anti-theft code prior to disconnecting the battery ground cable
Disconnect the battery ground cable. Remove the glove compartment retaining screws
then remove the glove compartment. Replace filter and reassemble
